JD Williams

  • Roster: JDW Owner
  • Debut: WWE: Smackdown vs. RAW 2011

JD Williams first appeared during the 2011 season and was personally selected by the late EWA owner 'Meltdown'.

Williams was advertised as a US hero & former Olympian, but the truth was quickly exposed and it seems that Williams did indeed represent the USA at the Olympics and was in the opening ceremony, but was disqualified for failing the drug tests and sent home before the events started.

Upon joining the EWA roster he would immediately target the EWA Champion 'Faz Fhunder' and it became apparent there was some sort of agenda at play.

Williams was unsuccesful at toppling Faz's title reign though and quickly fell down to the lower mid-card level.

At the end of the 2011 season, the EWA was landed with an "Unsafe Work Environment" lawsuit from 'Austin Scott' which they agreed to settle for an undisclosed amount. Due to this the EWA faced major financial difficulties and 'Meltdown' reluctantly agreed to sell 25% of the company to JD Williams.

Williams would go on to create the JDW brand which would focus on the developmental side of the business and create a stepping stone to an EWA contract through his 'JDW New Blood' Contest. He also offered a handful of exclusive JDW main roster contracts to unsuccessful contestants which would allow them to wrestle on EWA shows

'JDW New Blood' would run for 4 seasons before being rebranded to the JDW Performance League which JD still oversees.

JD also helped build & fund the 'Local Competitor League' brand but has more of a backstage roll in the running of the show.
